How to upload new video

When Add your own video is clicked, the following form will appear:

Some of the values are pre-filled, data are taken from your registration account. Required fields:

• your name,
• video duration in seconds for videos in FLV format (you can find it in your conversion software, sometimes called length),
• size of your video
• to get file size right click the file and choose Properties option:

• You will find it as shown on Figure 3
  
• When you know the file size, choose the appropriate radio button – less or more than 20 MB (note that 1 MB > 1 KB)
• Video title – short title, max 5 words
• Short description of your video – a small note displayed below video title, max of 100 characters
• Display my email address – choose whether to display your email address when video detail is displayed

Step 2

a) adding a video less than 20 MB

• Choose region, industry and genre.
• Thumbnail - if uploading a video movie different than Flash video (FLV), this field is optional. If you have prepared thumbnail for your video, you can select it. Note you can get best result when having 4:3 aspect ratio, landscape orientation.
• Choose video file.We can not unfortunately support following formats: QuickTime movie and 3gp mobile phone videos.
• NOTE: BE PATIENT WHEN UPLOADING VIDEO FILES. IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO UPLOAD FILE TO THE SERVER.

b) adding a video more than 20 MB

• When loading the page, a warning may pop-up. You can accept it, our application is very secure and cannot harm your computer or personal data. If you don’t allow it, you will be unable to upload large video file.
• First you should click the Add File – file browser window will open. Note only video files will be processed:
  
• Find your file and open it. The file will appear in the uploader box:
• Click Upload Files – upload will start shortly. Please wait until the upload is done and both progress bar are fully filled: Uploading in progress
  
  Upload finished.
• Set the region, industry and genre
• Thumbnail - if uploading a video movie different than Flash video (FLV), this field is optional. If you have prepared thumbnail for your video, you can select it. Note you can get best result when having 4:3 aspect ratio, landscape orientation.
• Reload a list of  uploaded files (note, sometimes more files may appear in the list box. You can choose only one – yours):
• The uploaded file should appear:
• Select it by clicking on: [click to add]. The file should appear in the bottom textfield called file to associate:
• Then click Submit

Step 3 – video uploaded

• System will inform you that you succeeded:
  

Editing of videos

• You have ability to edit and delete only your videos. Your videos are marked with EDIT and DELETE links:
• When delete is clicked, you will be asked to confirm removing.
• When edit is clicked, following screen comes up:
• You are able to change all the information about video – description, title, related chosen etc.
• When you want to delete thumbnail – check the Delete current thumbnail and...
  
• When you want to update thumbnail, just select new one and Save
• When you want to update movie, just select new one and follow the instructions for more than 20 MB file upload.
• Note when editing Related chosen documentaries, you can use common formatting fuctions like hyperlinks, bold, italics, ....
